June Beer Launches
June 3rd, Toronto, ON – Folks at Ontario Craft Brewers have drafted up a new selection of member-brewed ales to make up the OCB Discovery Pack No. 5. The new discovery pack consists of an all-can line-up featuring of my favourite Ontario craft ales: Muskoka Hefeweissbier, Great Lakes Devil’s Pale Ale, Wellington Trailhead Lager, Trafalgar Elora Grand Lager
OCB Discovery Pack No.5 will be available at LCBO locations across Ontario starting June.

May Beer Launches

May 3rd, Toronto, ON – Rejoice beer fans, Creemore Springs Brewery has confirmed that their seasonal Kellerbier brew will be making a comeback this year. Kellerbier literally means `cellar beer`in German, and Creemore Springs`variation is an unfiltered brew with 5% ABV, a bold hoppy aroma and flavour with a touch of citrus. Creemore Springs Kellerbier will hit the shelves starting May 3rd at a number of and will be available in 473 ml cans. It will also be available on draught at select bars and restaurants.

Brewblog Events Calendar Launch
After fiddling around with a few WordPress event-related plugins, I’m pleased to announce that BrewBlog now has an Event Calendar that will contain all beer-related events that are taking place around the GTA and beyond. While I’m still exploring various plug-in settings, I have added a few events for the upcoming weeks.

February Beer Launches
February 3rd, Toronto, ON – Ontario Craft Brewers have unveiled a new OCB Discovery Pack to hit the shelves in February. After an all can line-up of Discovery Pack No.3, OCB has decided to go back to bottles. OCB Discovery Pack No.4 will feature six delicious medal winning ales from Ontario’s prominent craft brewers: Black Oak Nut Brown Ale, Cameron’s Brewing Co. Cream Ale, Flying Monkeys Brewery Hoptical Illusion, Mill Street Brewery Coffee Porter, Old Credit Brewery Amber Ale, and Wellington Brewery Special Pale Ale.
The folks at OCB, Cameron’s Brewing and Wellington Brewing have also arranged a series of tasting to take place at select LCBO outlets. Visit the OCB website for a list of participating LCBO locations.
February 3rd, Toronto, ON - I previously posted that Great Lakes Brewing Coastal Pale Ale will become available for a limited time at the brewery’s retail store. Great Lakes Brewing has recently announced that Coastal Pale Ale will be renamed to Canuck Pale Ale and will only be available for a limited time at the brewery’s retail store, select LCBO locations as well as the following licensed establishments: C’est What, Victory Café, Harbord House, The Garrison and Rosedale Diner. The brewer has indicated that this is a very limited release and will only be available until the end of the month, so don’t delay or you risk missing out on this hoppy brew.

January Beer Launches
January 11th, Toronto, ON – Great Lakes Brewery has announced that the West Coast Pale Ale presented at last month’s Project X will become available at the brewery’s retail store and select bars across Toronto.
At 5.2% ABV, West Coast Pale Ale possesses an incredible in-your-face hoppy aroma and the brewer describes the ale’s taste as “lingering bitterness that is complemented by a soft bready malt flavour.”
This limited time brew will be available in the 650ml bottle format until early March.

December Beer Launches

December 17th, Toronto, ON – Some of you may be aware of the Project X Cask Nights hosted by Great Lakes Brewery on every second Thursday of every month. During the brewery’s cask events, patrons are treated to exclusive cask ales brewed specially for the event. Formerly, the ales were only to be enjoyed during the cask night; however, Great Lakes Brewery has just announced that going forward, they will be bottling limited quantities of the Project X ales. The ales will be available to members in the 670mL bottles via the brewery’s retail store. This month’s Project X ales are Skidmark Brown Ale and West Coat Pale Ale. Project X ales will be available for a limited time, so hurry!

November Beer Launches
November is here with some new exciting additions to the beer line-up.
November 5th, Toronto, ON - Ontario Craft Brewers are releasing a new OCB Discovery Pack to become available in select LCBO stores across Ontario. OCB occasionally releases sample six-packs containing various delicious brews produced by their members that otherwise aren’t commonly available at LCBO.

OCB Discovery Pack No.3 will feature an All-Can Tallboy Line-Up consisting of:
- Paddy Irish Red from Trafalgar Brewing Company
- Muskoka Cream Ale from Lakes of Muskoka Cottage Brewery
- Nickel Brook Organic Lager from Nickel Brook Beers
- Devil’s Pale Ale 666 from Great Lakes Brewery
- Wellington County Dark Ale from Wellington Brewery
- Neustadt Lager from Neustadt Springs Brewery
According to OCB, the No.3 Discovery Pack will hit the shelves mid November in limited supply. Be sure to pick up yours!
